چکیده

Cast nickel-based superalloys INC713 LC, B1914 and MAR-M247 are widely used for high temperature components in the aerospace, automotive power industries due to their good castability, level of strength properties at hot corrosion resistance. The present study is focused on mutual comparison creep above-mentioned superalloys, fracture behaviour identification deformation mechanism(s). Standard constant load uniaxial tests were carried out up rupture applied stress ranging from 150 700 MPa temperatures 800–1000 °C. experimentally determined values exponent minimum rate, n, rationalized by considering existence threshold stress, σ0. corrected correspond power-law regime suggest dislocation climb glide as dominating mechanisms. Fractographic observations clearly indicate that a brittle mostly mixed transgranular intergranular mode, resulting relatively low strain. Determined main parameters show superalloy exhibits best properties, followed then LC. However, each investigated can be successfully fulfils required service loading conditions.

Diffusion Welding of Nickel-based Superalloys

Ni based superalloys can be welded by diffusion bonding. Temperature, diffusion coefficient, activation energy and Boltzmann constant influence the quality of diffusion bonding, so obtaining the best condition for welding is considered. Showing the suitable condition for diffusion welding of nickel-based superalloys is the aim of this paper.

INFLUENCE OF Al-Si LAYER TO STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES ON INCONEL 713LC AND 738LC

This paper is focused on microstructure of protective layers created by co-deposition of Al and Si on nickel base superalloys INCO 713 LC and INCO 738 LC after thermal and thermal-stress exposition and on microstructure of basic materials (substrates). The contribution also shows creep tests results for both superalloys with and without a protective layer.

Modeling of the microstructural evolution and lifetime prediction of MCrAlX coatings on Nickel based superalloys in high temperature oxidation

MCrAlY coatings are deposited onto superalloys to provide oxidation and corrosion protection at high temperature by the formation of a thermally grown oxide scale. In this project, the oxidation behaviour of a HVOF CoNiCrAlYSi coating on IN792 was studied for both isothermal oxidation (900, 1000 and 1100 °C) and thermal cycling (100-1100 °C). The microstructural evolution of the CoNiCrAlYSi coa...

Phase transformation strengthening of high-temperature superalloys

Decades of research has been focused on improving the high-temperature properties of nickel-based superalloys, an essential class of materials used in the hot section of jet turbine engines, allowing increased engine efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions. Here we introduce a new 'phase-transformation strengthening' mechanism that resists high-temperature creep deformation in nickel-based superal...

Modelling the creep anisotropy of nickel-base superalloys with a composite model

The creep anisotropy of nickel-base superalloys with a cubic y' morphology is studied with a composite model. Creep curves and the internal stress distribution in the microstructure under [Oll] load are calculated with a Finite Element Procedure. Analytical considerations are made for arbitrary loading directions. y' cubes (with their interfaces aligned parallel to (001) planes) under [OOl] loa...
